PROJECT
“VARIANT” originates from the brief on “future identities,” envisioning a speculative world split into two divergent factions. One group of humans embraces body modification technologies to counter severe skin conditions worsened by extreme heat. The other rejects these interventions, resulting in DNA mutations as their bodies adapt to the escalating damage. These opposing evolutions are expressed visually through contrasting colours and textures.

74° serves as both a physical repository and an extension of VARIANT, revolving around themes of body modifications while adopting a speculative approach to various topics.  The repository is designed to foster
the process of unlearning and aims to immerse users in sensory experiences through interactive and
textured materials.
